After we showed up we walked around to check out the beach. We found a turtle sunning on the rocks at the edge of the water. I stood behind a chest high wall to sketch him. It wasn't the most comfortable sketching spot, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to sketch this guy.

Jennifer, we thought it was pretty cool too. I was surprised that he (she?) came onto the beach with so many people around.
Thank you Li! I'm glad you like him. After I grabbed my pen I thought I should have sketched the turtle with pencil instead. But I was afraid he would swim away if I ran back to get my pencil!
