copyright 2007 Stacy L. Rowan My Gerber daisies are blooming and they look beautiful!! I am so excited! These are the same Gerber daisies that I sketched on my windowsill.
I transplanted them to a large planter outside after they almost died in their little pots from the garden center. For a few days I wasn't sure if they were going to survive. Then the leaves started looking better and new leaves started growing. For weeks I've had nice, healthy, shiny, green leaves. And now finally FLOWERS! Hooray!
I've been snapping away with my camera. I just can't help myself.

Great photo. The only bad thing about Las Vegas is the rate at which plants simply explode from the heat!

Beautiful flowers Stacy, that color is one of my favorites.
They are such a cheerful flower. We can grow them year round here. Not to rub it in or anything.
Fabulous flower and photo Stacy. We grew them here from seed for the first time and they are glorious flowers. The colours are simply stunning.

Mary, I love orange and yellow flowers too. Pinks and purples are pretty but I'm always drawn back to the warm colored flowers.

Jeanette, you must have a green thumb if you grew them from seed! I was happy just to keep these alive. And they are so pretty, I'll definitely be trying them again.

I just want to say I love your flowers shots.
Lately I've been getting many photos of flowers myself. They are so beautiful it is no wonder our eyes fall upon them and we need to capture them and perhaps eventually paint them. And we are blessed with this new digital camera age and there is no limit to what we can capture onto a card.
It is a kind of miracle I think.

Thanks Blue! I have so many flowers pictures that I would never have time to paint them all, but I can't stop myself from snapping them. It's good to know I'm not the only one.
