I can't wait to learn new pen techniques from Dave.

Billie, try pen and ink. You may be surprised. I am not a patient person. In fact I like to say "Patience is a virtue, just not one I possess." :)Stacyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02494806312648513169noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4710395967782423014.post-47162315401739356292007-01-23T15:03:00.000-05:002007-01-23T15:03:00.000-05:00Stacy, i love the effect of stippling. love lookin...Stacy, i love the effect of stippling. love looking at it, don't want to try it. no patience here...at all. your pumpkins are fantastic! kudos to you on a job well done!Billie Crainhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11336330932102277633noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4710395967782423014.post-70226474116846234412007-01-21T13:43:00.000-05:002007-01-21T13:43:00.000-05:00Hi Blue! But I actually found stippling to be very relaxing. Maybe because it develops so slowly. I love how the image appears out of the paper.
I am going to definitely try your idea of making copies and adding color. Thanks!Stacyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02494806312648513169noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4710395967782423014.post-86404655174341527472007-01-21T12:40:00.000-05:002007-01-21T12:40:00.000-05:00Nice work Stacy! Very fine pumpkins.
Pen and ink ...Nice work Stacy! Very fine pumpkins.

Pen and ink is a specialty of mine too!
I haven't stippled for years but I love the effect and the beauty of it.

The only thing is the time it takes to do it. But there's nothing like it.

And when you add colour with inks or watercolour (If the black is waterproof) the work can take on a whole new feeling.

And the beauty of it is that you can make copies of your stippled work and practise with colours first.

Again.
Very nice work!
Glad you found the time!M J Muirhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17583326191693218992noreply@blogger.com
